Live streaming using External stream (Mixxx 2.0)
Overview:
Mixxx 2.0 Installation:
Please note that MP3 streaming will be disabled by default in Mixxx. Please follow the instructions in the webpage http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/internet_broadcasting#windows for setting up LAME MP3 codec. This is needed for Mixxx to Live stream to a shoutcast server.
iRadeo Station Setup for Mixxx:
a) Station Page Setup:
1. Click on the "Create new Station" to create a station and provide Station Name.
2. In the station page, choose "External Stream" option from the drop down.
3. Choose "Use iRadeo Shoutcast server" option. Click on "Assign streaming server" and the server details will be displayed in the station page. An iRadeo shoutcast server is assigned to the station.
4. Note down the Server name, Port and Password.
5. Click on "Save and Publish"
Mixxx configuration for Live Streaming:
1. Open Mixxx 2.0 and click on Options-->Preferences.
2. Enter the details from the iRadeo station into Mixxx preferences.
- Type: Shoutcast1
- Host: copy server name from iRadeo station page
- Port: copy the port number from iRadeo station page
- Password: copy the password from iRadeo station page
- Login: Leave blank
.3. Also provide other details into the “Stream settings” section of Preferences.
4. Check the “Enable Live Broadcasting” option and click “Apply”.

5. Make sure you get the message that Mixxx has successfully connected to the iRadeo streaming server.
6. Start playing the tracks and it should live stream to the iRadeo station. If you run into any issues, please email support support@iradeo.com
